MONT ALTO — Tuesday, June 15 — Animal welfare authorities are looking for information on a yellow lab who was left along side a Mont Alto road last week.

According to a news release from the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, the dog was left along side of Oak Road with a blanket and water bowl on the morning of Wednesday, June 9. The dog was emaciated and bleeding and was found to have suffered a skull fracture, head trauma from punctures and lacerations and abrasions on the back legs. The dog was euthanized because of the injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call State Dog Law Warden Georgia Martin at 762-9794 or Humane Society Police Officer Floyd "Buck" Hessler at 263-5791.
